The Teva Slopestyle is a part of the Queenstown Bike festival, featuring this Thursday night. The event showcases world class mountain bike ‘tricksters’ in an epic twilight event in downtown Queenstown.
Riders are voted on style and difficulty of tricks, throwing down for an amping crowd over this Easter weekend. Flat spins, Can cans, flips and Supermans are some tricks the crowd should expect to see … Mons Royale is there supporting the riders and cookin’ up some delicious venison bulgolgi, plus an icy cold stash of Mons Royale beer (bought to you by Wanaka Beerworks) We’ll be hitting up the after party at The Boiler Room in good spirits – if you are in Queenstown or Wanaka, don’t miss this awesome night!

At the start of the year, we launched our first global competition of which entrants submitted creative photos of themselves and their Mons Royale. After 5 months, and hundreds of photo entries Christopher Philipson from Zurich gained the most votes by a fraction. Chris’s hilarious series of photos captured his girlfriend fixing and riding a mountain bike in nothing but a helmet and Mons Royale leggings!

We are stoked that Chris had a wicked time in NZ, and his trip wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing sponsors: Jucy Rentals, Snow Park, Cardrona Alpine Resort, Treble Cone, Oakridge Resort and Harris Mountains Heli.

BULGING BILLBOARDS

We were recently contacted by advertising agency DRAFTFCB, to see whether we wanted a F R E E billboard on a high traffic area in Auckland … the idea was to have a double sided 3D advert which involved a stake penetrating the chest of a TRUE BLOOD character and pushing out through the other side emphasizing the ‘package’ on our boxer clad model on the reverse side.

Clever idea DRAFTFCB – and we appreciate the exposure … however controversial it maybe …

WIN A TRIP TO NEW ZEALAND WITH MONS ROYALE

When July roles around each year it seems every pro snowboarder and skier descends on Lake Wanaka New Zealand leaving the majority of riders sweating it out in the summer sun wishing they could be so lucky.
This New Zealand winter there will be one such person thanks to the merino underwear and first-layer brand Mons Royale.
The lucky winner will receive flights from anywhere in the world on the Air New Zealand network, luxury accommodation thanks to Oak Ridge Resort, a 4×4 Jucy rental car to get around, a days heli skiing with Harris Mountains, and lift passes to both Cardrona and Treble Cone resorts. And to top it off the winner will also relish in two days and nights of action at the world famous Snow Park.

Participants simply need head over to the Mons Royale Facebook page where they can like the brand and enter the competition by simply entering there name and basic details. They can then increase their chance of winning by posting photos of themselves wearing Mons gear. The team will pick out bi-weekly winners to receive fresh Mons Royale threads and evidently have a greater chance of winning the ultimate trip down under.
The winner will be drawn April 30th with the trip valid for the 2012 Southern Hemisphere winter.

In October last year, we decided to create a challenging, but hilarious promo video for our Win a Trip Down Under campaign. The comp involves Air New Zealand flights from anywhere in the world to Queenstown New Zealand, rental car, luxury accomodation, lift passes and heli skiing … pretty much the most epic winter trip in one of the world’s most beautiful resorts, our home town of Lake Wanaka.
