June 2009 saw the first Mons Royale range hit the shelves in just six stores across New Zealand. The range arrives two months late but luckily makes it before the first snow falls. A seriously ‘hot’ advert runs in both New Zealand Snowboarder and Skier magazine’s known as the ‘ironing board shot’, it gets people’s tongues wagging and so Mons Royale is launched to the world-well here in New Zealand at least.
October 2009 Mons Royale ships its first international order to a shop in Laax Switzerland called Amalgan. In February of 2010 Mons Royale is shown at the ISPO Trade Show in Munich and the first distribution deals are done.
April 2010 Mons Royale drops its second range, which included the colour ‘Mons Purple’, this totally flies off the shelves. Shots of the product start appearing in magazines, movies and webisodes thanks to our team riders. Unofficial riders that aren’t meant to be wearing Mons Royale because of contracts, but do so because they love the stuff help to spread the word.
November 2010 Mons Royale lands in stores across France, Switzerland, Norway and Japan for its first full northern hemisphere winter. Distributors and interested peeps continue to contact us from around the world.
